The DeSoto Recreational Center Pickleball Complex at Hot Springs Village debuted with a grand-opening ceremony on October 5, 2018. The site
features 14 courts (seven lighted) for the 200+ members of the Hot Springs
Village Pickleball Club, which o;ers a free introductory lesson, weekly clinics, open play, community leagues, and competitive tournaments. Access
to the new Pickleball Complex and all of the community’s fitness facilities,
plus lodgings, dinner, and an optional round of golf, is now included in Hot
Springs Village Discovery Packages.

The $14-million makeover project at the
Keowee Key lakeside community in Upstate South Carolina checked off a pair
of completions in October 2018: The Fitness Center reopened with an additional
2,600 square feet to handle expanded
classes, all new aerobic equipment, and
an updated smoothie bar. The renovated
Bistro also debuted with an expanded
kitchen, new menu, and triple the indoor/outdoor seating capacity. Earlier in
the year, an enlarged deck around the
Southside Community Pool and a new
2.2-mile Southside Walking Trail were
added. Upgrades to the George Cobb
Golf Course and the clubhouse will be
completed this year.
