WE MAKE FLORIDA LIVING EASY
The Rest is Up to You
Surrounded by 85,000 acres
of state-protected preserve
schools to health care facilities, shopping, and
loads of recreational amenities. Among the
highlights: Lakewood Ranch Country Club and
its three championship golf courses; more than
150 miles of sidewalks and trails; Ancient Oak
Gun Club; and Sarasota Polo Club, which is
open to the public on Sunday afternoons.
If world-class culture, calm pristine beaches,
and swanky settings are your scene, Sarasota is
that perfect paradise. Two of the area’s iconic
destinations are Armand’s Circle and its many
boutique shops and restaurants and neighboring Longboat Key. Sarasota owes its arts legacy
to John Ringling, who brought in the circus arts
and his incredible art collection which is now
housed at the Ringling Museum of Art. Led by
a world-class ballet company, symphony, and
opera company, as well as a number of internationally acclaimed professional troupes on level
with large Northern cities, it’s understandable
why this is known as Florida’s “Culture Coast.”
Situated just south of Sarasota along Florida’s
white-sanded stretch of Gulf Coast, Venice offers
14 miles of beautiful beaches from Casey Key to
Manasota Key, and plenty of golf and boating-related recreational opportunities. Venice is
also a Florida Main Street City with a wonderful downtown to visit. Of course, reminiscent of
the Italian city it is named after, Florida’s Venice
features gorgeous northern Italian architecture
and beautifully landscaped boulevards that date
to the original city plans of 1925.
Englewood is so lovely that two Gulf Coast counties – Charlotte and Sarasota – lay claim to its
beauty. Englewood’s uncrowded beach is pure
and wide and has excellent facilities. Just south,
you’ll find ;lind Pass Park, a fantastic place for
shelling and finding more rare sharks’ teeth. Another way to enjoy this coastal town is taking an
eco-tour of Lemon ;ay, where you will certainly
see dolphins, manatees, and all kinds of shore-birds and wildlife.
