Afamily that builds together, grows together. Forty years and ;ve cities later, Bill Clark Homes has become a household name in North Carolina.
Bill Clark started Bill Clark Construction—now Bill
Clark Homes (BCH)—in 1977 in Greenville, NC, and grew
it just as quickly as his three young sons were growing up
through the early 1980s. Bill Clark Homes now has locations in Wilmington, Fayetteville, Raleigh, New Bern, and
Myrtle Beach, as well.
Apparently, growing up in the business of building
homes makes the desire to build homes hard to shake. Bill’s
sons, Heath and Lance Clark, are general managers of BCH
operations in Wilmington and Greenville, respectively.
BCH has weathered quite a few storms over the past
couple of decades, both literally and ;guratively. Aside
from a few hurricanes, the most severe blow that North
Carolina builders experienced was the real estate market
crash of 2007 and 2008. Decades and tradition strong,
BCH bounced back and remains one of the most successful
builders in the nation. In this interview, Bill Clark reveals
the secrets to their success.
