A. A Discovery Tour is a unique chance for you to spend a couple
of days discovering an area and community that interests you and
the lifestyle the combination provides. This will give you a feel for
the region and the attributes of the community, and will give you a
chance to meet with current residents of the community.
Q: Is this like a time-share promotion?
A. No, not at all. Time-share excursions whisked away multiple
potential customers at a time, with the promise of free luggage, free
stays, etc., all while putting you in a room and delivering a high-
pressure sales pitch on a condo, etc. that could last hours. A Discovery
Tour takes place at your leisure. You come down when you want to,

Q: Are there discounts on travel?
A. Most of the promotions are for three-day/two-night
accommodations from $99 and include a personal tour of the
community and dinner or lunch for two. Some even throw in a
round of golf if they have a course on site.
Q: When is the best time to take a Discovery Tour?
A. As mentioned above, you can take a tour at your leisure. How-
ever, we’ve found the best time to explore the South is during the
fall. The vacationers are gone, the air’s a little bit cooler and there
are many fall festivals going on which allow you to experience the
local flair and the culture of the area. (Plus if you’re flying down,
rates are relatively cheaper.)
